Islington Festival of Music and Art welcomes you with open arms to the first Islington Festival of Music and Arts, which will take place at the end of July in a celebration of music and the arts in Islington, North London. The festival was inspired by the enormous happiness and energy that many Londoners demonstrated last year, when they organised a series of chamber music concerts in private gardens and outside spaces in the local neighbourhood.

They have spent the long winter months beavering away to present this 4-Day Festival of wonderful music for you to enjoy, and a few other events too!

The festival will consist of 15 events during the 4 days, including 11 concerts in beautiful and inspiring buildings throughout the Borough of Islington.

SATURDAY 24 JULY

The Late Night Bach Series will be shared between the Newington Green Meeting House, No 20 Arts, and The Old Queens Head pub. The Meeting House has recently undergone major renovation and refurbishment thanks to support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and is now an amazing building with a fantastic acoustic too! No 20 Arts is a beautiful contemporary art gallery, and The Old Queen’s Head is a famous landmark building in Islington, which regularly hosts concerts and other events. These 4 concerts are exclusively devoted to the works of J.S. Bach, and include solo violin , lute music, and 3 of the outstanding choral Motets.
